Summer is turning to fall, the leaves are changing color and the air is brisk - time to knock the dust off and prepare for hibernation. Its not laziness as much as procrastinating the shitty chores in an effort to squeeze the most enjoyment out of every minute of summer.
And then the realization of “fall cleaning” sets in. Little piles of stuff here and there put off from months past that now need to be dealt with.
The absence of real “storage” these houses from the ’70s contain and the lack of organizational spaces to hide the crap. Simplicity has been calling for many moons repeatedly falling on deaf ears has thrown the door wide open and exclaimed “HELLO!!!”. It’s time to heed the call of “clear the way” so the flow of calm, steady, nurturing energy can cleanse the pysche.
Natural law states “to bring in more, you must clear out”. So if you want new clothes, clean out a closet. If you want more peace of mind, clear out your fears and doubts. If you want more green chili, clean out the fridge. If you need more storage, clean out the garage. If you want more space, throw some of this shit away.
What do animals do before they slumber for the winter? They clean out the den, store up some food and find a sexy mate. All I have left to do is clean out my den and knock the dust off of our belongings.
