Manifest It Now!

While I am on the theme of “creating” ( manifesting it now!!! ), what I want and such… I had a conversation today with my girl about her lack of really good sleep of late.  So I explained that “if you are always stating that” “I need AT LEAST 8 hours of sleep, I am a really light sleeper, it’s hard for me to fall asleep…” and so on, that will become your belief structure and it will manifest it self as truth for you and that will be the case.  No of course, she knows this which is a HUGE part of the reason we are together… so dont take the following ranting and raving like Im talking at or to her, the conversation we had just helped me to re-realize some of my old self… which I am getting back in touch with.  Yes, smart ass, I am touchy feely. Dont like it?  Go climb a tree and stay there!!!  >;->

Meaning, if you set your mind up to make that true or set that as “default” if you will, your brain and the “autopilot” part of your conscious (also called the “subconscious”) will see to it that its “program” has no other choice but to make that your reality.  Did that make any sense???

Its kinda like this, your “mind” which is your moment to moment thinking and you self talk “the voices in your head”, is the captain of the ship (you and the physical manifestation of you and how you experience your “reality” or “observed experience”) and your brain and subconscious are the “engine room and rudder”.

Now take that analogy and see it like this… The captain decides on a course and calls out the orders and the engine room and rudder have no choice but to follow those instructions and bring about the “course” because they (the brain and subconscious) are “preset” machines that have been programed to do that part of the “creating process”.

Stated another way (and yes I will be unloading all my thoughts on this for the next however long it takes before I feel I have gotten my point across) a calculator you buy at the store has no choice but to output the number 4 when you tell it to add 2 + 2, the answer will always be the “preset” mathematical answer which is and always will be 4 and for all you smart asses I am fully aware that 2 + 2 can and does equal 5, 3, 187 and every other number and or thing based on “imagined creative possibilities” and whatever else you want to call it.  For this example I am using the scientific values of numerical expression at its most fundamental level.

And to continue with the analogies let me state the above this way.  Based on our excepted perception of the physical laws of this plane on this planet we call earth, if I throw a rock up in the air it will come back down again which is called gravity – the reason for this is due to our atmosphere being preset or pre-programmed with a law we call gravity and that law is immutable without outside manipulation.  OK, stop being a complicated pain in the ass.

Our brains and subconscious are preprogrammed to take the “orders” of our mind and forgo the process of second guessing and ruling against the mind based on reason outside of the mind as a second, self ruling entity.  That is how we come from the factory, yes few will be so drastically miss “re-programmed” through our “experiences and environment by the end of childhood” that this is no longer the case as a thinking adult but that’s another blog so lets get back to the point, where was I???

Oh yeah, we come programmed to manifest or create or express or whatever the hell term you want to place on it, in this way, think – decide – express – command and then we experience it in the physical plane.  And that is the basic programming most people use to bring into their experience all the things they think about in their moment to moment thinking with no care taken to realize they are creating what they do or don’t want to experience because it is (A) natural, (B) automatic like breathing or blinking, (c) just in the last 10 years been explained to the masses and (D) so effing hard for people to take responsibility for what they have done and realize the kind of power we all actually wield, that most people cant even see it or believe it let alone want to change… that last one is probably the most difficult to come to terms with.

Not only is it uncomfortable, at first it feels hard and thats where it gets hard, cuz its hard, change is hard and we even though we dont want to admit it have become enbibed with the expectation of NOW, NOW, NOW!  “If I do this RIGHT NOW, I WANT TO HAVE MY REWARD NOW!!!  Well unfortunately the problem with that is in your own head, if it takes me 5 days to get over a cold why does it take you 8 days???  And that’s not even a correct statement because while you get that cold I don’t… conscious self re-programming made that possible, now, I’m not perfect but I am working on being the best me I can be and since I know how to treat the cause and not just the symptoms I am going to get there first.  Fuck, ramble, ramble, ramble.

… And Thus Begins The Summer Season Of My Lifetime.

I turned 31 today, actually it was at 4:10 am (oct 24th) but who’s counting.  I am very happy to be moving on in my days, not to propose I am old by any means.  I have begun to feel as though I am making sound decisions and responsible choices.

Thus, I have moved on from the spring age and into the summer age of life… fall is my favorite season and for some reason I believe that will ring true for that age of this lifetime, 50ish to 70 something, when the colors change and the days slow down.  The temperature inside me is beginning to rise but not like it did in my late teens… this is something very different, more like the tempering of steel before it is cooled off and hardened.

What has this life become if not my own?  I am in charge, just the way I always wanted.  I share the reins of it with no one yet I have found a companion who doesn’t feel the need to try and control me.  Heaven on earth is what I liken that to, my children are healthy and happy and well on their way to being their own little creatures of nature.

The things I used to hold dear don’t mean squat and things I used to view as square and boring are much the life of pleasure and substance I could not see.  Don’T get me wrong I have a full dose of hell raiser in my blood and wouldn’t trade that for anything, not even the world itself.  I am just really seeing the potential that this life may bring and it is truly awe inspiring when held in contrast to what I used to think I desired…

and so it begins, the next leg of this journey.  See you along the way.

Using The Law Of Attraction

As popular as the law of attraction has become over the last few years I have yet to read or watch an actual “how to” to manifest what I desire that really covers the whole thing.  So, I am going to put the process into my own words according to how I have witnessed it to work.

OK, where to start?  Should I list all the steps and then go into detail?

BTW, these are what I consider the steps… and no, I am not a doctor, dr. PhD, MD etc etc.

    My List Of LOA STEPS.

  • Desire or want
  • Clear understanding of the feeling it will create when you have it
  • The ability to Act As If (WITHOUT DOUBT, FEAR, ETC) meaning you can “FEEL” that feeling now
  • Determination
  • Belief
  • Acceptance
  • The ability to believe it has come to pass and move on by Letting Go of it

So let’s converse about this whole idea for a minute.  When you were a child, did anyone tell you that “you can be anything you want if you put your mind to it!”  How about, “You can have anything you want if you want it enough!”?

What does that really mean? “If you put your mind to it???”  Well, we need to discuss a little about the brain and the mind and how they work and then how they work together.  Remember, I am not a doctor nor a scientist.  But I have repeatedly reaped the rewards and consequences for the actions I have taken which were only options after I made a decision which could have only been presented as a choice after doing one thing… THINKING.

Let’s clear something up real quick. Have you ever been lectured and heard the person doing the lecturing say “What’s the matter with you???  You WEREN’T THINKING!!!”  Or have you ever stated, “I must not have been thinking,” after you did something that was dumb?

The truth is, you were thinking. You may have not “meant” to do what you did on one level, BUT, you were thinking, then made a decision then took action on that choice.  And yes, I say a lot to make simple points, deal with it.

So, why did you make a bad choice? Why did you get something you didn’t want?  Why did the opposite of what you wanted to happen happen?

That’s where the brain comes in. Your physical brain is AMAZING!!! Scientists have proven that our brains are 100’s if not 1000’s of times faster, more agile, more ACCURATE, and capable of things than machines will ever (I use ‘ever’ loosely) be.  The brain has the ability to “become” what it needs to become to continue forward motion at a thing called life.

The brain can re-wire itself to compensate for “problems” or damage and overcome “disabilities.”  Take for example the man who crashed a single engine airplane in the early 1990’s (I think) who was so physically destroyed (for a lack of a better word) that specialists from around the globe said, “he will never walk again,” “he will never be able to speak again,” “he will not be able to feed himself,” etc, the list goes on.  In fact all of the doctors that saw him were baffled by the fact that he was not already dead!  Well, he did walk again, speak again, regain all the use of all his limbs, that list also goes on.  In fact, he is flying planes again.

How about someone who loses the ability to see? With the right mind set, the brain WILL rewire itself to regain that ability.

Or how about someone who loses the ability to walk? If their bones, muscles, and all that other stuff still work, guess what?  They will regain the ability to walk.  Need proof?  Go look on the internet for a couple hours and come back and finish reading this.

OK, if you were really paying attention to that last little paragraph you might have caught something…

“mindset”!!!

If you believe, you can achieve.  And that’s not bullshit. So what are we talking about???

The brain is a living organism that has the function of a machine. Where it is so much more lies within its ability to regenerate according to its needs.  However, much like a calculator it is only the “processor,” “the machine,” “the one who carries out the commands.”

That’s where our “mind” comes in. The brain is capable of things we haven’t even imagined yet.  Hmmm, ‘imagined,’ we’ll come back to that.  So, if our brain is the “order taker” than who is the “order giver”?  Yep, the mind.

The mind has been called a lot of things, it’s been studied, it’s been mapped, it’s been tested, it’s been broken, it’s been changed, it’s been challenged… get the point?  The one thing the mind has not been is located.  Some doctors and scientists believe the mind and the brain are one; most, however, do not.  The mind has been the center of some of the biggest ongoing “studies” for centuries: psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience, philosophy, etc.  Still there are some of the most basic questions about the mind that have yet to be answered.

    Unanswered questions about THE MIND:

  • What is it?
  • How does it operate?
  • Where is the mind located?
  • Is it only inside us?
  • Do we really have control of it?
  • How do we actually use it?
  • Can we sharpen it like a tool?
  • What happens if we really “lose it”?
  • Can we learn how to use it more effectively and efficiently?

Well, I have my own answers to those questions and then some.

Remember, these are my conclusions, in which I have created a belief system to support me.  These conclusions allow me to use “it” to create the life I want to live. And since this is my space, I can do that.

Landon

First, what is the mind?

I call it the Conscious.

It operates the same way all energy does.

The mind is everywhere, based on quantum theory, it is “whereever I observe it to be.”

The mind is inside of us, outside of us and all around of us.

We have as much control of it as we believe we do.

We use it all the time, either intentionally or unintentionally.

We don’t sharpen it, we sharpen our ability to use it, much like getting better at a sport or driving or playing guitar.  It is its own thing which we have the opportunity to utilize or just coast on autopilot.

Well, if you really lose it, you are no longer conscious and would cease to exist.  This is different from being “mad” or insane or incapable of being rational.  Those, too, I believe can be corrected if the person can believe it to be so (see the airplane pilot example above).  Don’t argue with me– I did it for myself and was as nuts as one could possibly be!

Can you learn to spell, drive, talk, love, respect, focus, etc?  Then, yes, you can learn to use your mind more effectively and get better results from your “inner discussion”  or “self talk,” if you go through the steps to do so.

Which leads us to the original idea of this post, the Law Of Attraction.

  1. What is it?
  2. How Does It Work?
  3. What Do I Do To Make It Work For Me?

It is a “universal law that states that Like Attracts Like, for example… As above, so below.  Or, As I think, so I get/do/have.

It is a formula like addition and subtraction and has an equation that can be learned just as easily. It is a law, meaning it is what it IS and can not be changed or altered, only applied.  Like gravity on this planet, what goes up must come down, you can’t change that, but you can “use it.”

All you need to do to get the Law Of Attraction to work for you is to learn the formula, input the equations and apply those as principles… here we go.

The formula is as we stated earlier:

  • Desire or want
  • Clear understanding of the feeling it will create when you have it
  • The ability to act as if (WITHOUT DOUBT, FEAR, ETC) meaning you can “FEEL” that feeling now
  • Belief
  • Acceptance
  • Determination
  • The ability to believe it has come to pass and move on by letting go of it

Desire is an emotion, in and of its self: a longing for something. To obtain something of importance.

Feeling is the sensation of something, used here in the sense of, “I feel elated when I am with the one I love,” or, ” When I drive this car, I FEEL like I’m in a race car, it handles like its on rails,” or, “I feel healthy when I am happy.”

The ability to act as if: This is where it starts getting difficult for most, and so I’m going to go off on a tangent.  If my immediate circumstances seem like I am broke, unhappy, out of shape, sick, etc., then how the hell am I supposed to act like that’s not the case?  I will get more into this in a minute but let me “set you up” and give you some “autosuggestion.”  What does an airplane do right before it takes flight and leaves the ground?  It goes from standing still, to cruising down the runway, to lifting its nose off the ground and eventually pulling the rest of itself into the air.

Now, lets work that out:

Before it started moving down the runway, the engines had to be turned on, revved up and engaged with the gear to get it moving.  Then, it had to begin lifting itself off the ground and did so by changing the angles of its wings.  Finally, it provided more throttle and speed and lift to bring itself up off the ground.

The point is, as a pilot, “YOUR MIND” didn’t just hop in and turn on a key and POOF the plane was in the air 30,000 feet off the ground– IT’S A PROCESS.  This step leads to the next.

Lets make sense of that. The plane was turned on, revved up (acting as if it is going to move), engaged with the gears (beginning to move after it acted like it was going to move), changed the angle of its wings (acting like its going to lift off), applied more throttle and speed to bring itself all the way off the ground (using the previous steps to build enough confidence to take the next couple of steps), and it’s now in the air… and there’s more, steering, soaring, landing, and doing it all over again.

Belief: This one, probably more than the rest, deserves its own post but I will give you my short version.  When you were little and your mom told you that she loved you, you knew it because you felt it.  When you hear something, think something, learn something, and you begin to believe in it to the point that “it” (whatever it is) becomes a fact for you, you have created a belief about it.  Without belief, nothing can happen, certainly not using your ability to create something other than what may just “happen” to you.  And whether you like it or not, whether you understand it or not, whether you agree with it or not, the beliefs you are living with are shaping your entire existence and every little experience and circumstance that comes your way.

Acceptance: In the way I use it, I am talking about accepting the idea or thought as the “truth,” meaning if I think I can make $200k at my new job, go in and crush the preset goals for where I should be, figure out the numbers and decide I can do what it takes to make that happen and believe in that as a fact, and have no doubt or uncertainty about it, eventually I will accept that for myself.  There is a whole lot more that goes with it, but here is another example: If I don’t know how to swim, but I can reason it in my head, believe that it is possible for me to really and actually do the act of swimming, go practice until I can swim, the acceptance part happened between the believing and the practicing.

Which brings us to:

Determination: If you fall off the horse, you get back on and try again.  Human kind as well as everything else would not be here if life itself gave up after one or two tries.  If you want something, whether it is change in general, some material thing, or even the “perfect” companionship, you may have to try more than a couple times to get this (manifesting or consciously creating) right.

Come To Pass

Now, this is where die-hard, new age thinkers and newbies fail in the process of creating the actual “thing” or experience they are so diligently trying to bring about. Ever heard the expression, “Let go, Let God”???

You can have all the right ingredients to make Grandma’s special loaf of zucchini bread, and you can mix them all up in the right order and be so close you can taste it, but if you don’t put that damn pan in the oven and let it cook, it will never turn out to be a loaf of bread – that is actually impossible.

Need another analogy?  Building a hot rod, you can have all the parts and put them together in the right way, but without gas it ain’t goin’ anywhere.

More to come on this – it seems much more easy than it really is.  I did not say simple, I said easy– you just need to relearn how to ask for things in the right way kinda like a 3 year old.  Stay tuned, more to come… And yes, this too shall pass. ;)

I am The Observer!

Its easy to get caught up the daily BS of life and forget the role we are supposed to play, THE OBSERVER!  I t is my job to observe the life, things and experiences around me and adjust my thinking based on what I think about it all.

The tricky part, or shall I say the part that’s easy to screw up is the “I’m not present” part.  Meaning, when you get caught up in the “moment” and forget to be consciously directing your own course.  The moment to moment shit that happens can become an almost constant distraction that can keep you walking around “unconscious” and keep you from creating what you actually want in life.

Think about the people who have goals that they tend to all the time… what happens with most of them?  Yep, they achieve their goals.  Now think about people who are constantly bitching, moaning and complaining… they get more shit to bitch about.

So, if you are always trying to remain present and OBSERVE whats going on around you and contrasting that to whats going on inside of you (emotionally) you are now in a position to create or alter the experiences you have.

I know, easier said than done… but it can be done.  It comes down to “What do you really want and when do you want it?”.

I have found a little saying that works particularly well for myself.  “I am not present”  I forgot where I read that but it works and it works because of this, if I try to be “present” as much as possible the first thing I realize is that I’m not really present very much of the time.  And like everything in life it takes some practice.  And it just so happens that if I catch myself getting irritated or heated or upset or bitchy or whatever, as soon as I tell myself ” I’m not present” it brings me back to, you guessed it, present.

The whole point is to shift my awareness and thought process to being here right now in the moment as an observer, not a participant.  If I am “the observer” I am in a better position to change whats going on.  As within so without.  If I am in a good place to change things as they come up then I can quickly and easily change whatever I want and that’s the point.  I don’t want to sleep walk through this life, I want to be a co-creator and the fastest way I can do that is to become the observer and stop being a participant.

Inner Tools

Emotion!  Some of you can’t or dont know how to handle it and that’s fine, for, your present level of awareness.  Some of you think that it’s really not ok to get mad, sad, depressed, pissed off, whinny, needy and so on.

Let me tell you a little story.

She has two kids, a husband, a job, and so on.

He beats her, cheats on her, degrades her, yells at her, harasses her and belittls her.  Yes he is a fucking idiot, a loser, insecure and retarded. But and this is a BIG but.

Emotions are triggers, there are really only two main emotions, love and fear.  These two emotions equate first to either pleasure or pain.

I am tired cuz it’s 1 am so I wont go completely indepth with this just yet… more in a couple days but lets get this out.

Your emotions or “feelings” are triggers to keep you out of pain and keep you in pleasure, kinda like this.

When you fill a tea pot up with water and put it on the stove, what happens?  Nothing, until you turn the heat on.  When the pressure builds up it needs released.  That whistle sound you hear when the water is about to boil is the trigger, if you ignore it, it gets louder.  Now in humans, when you ignor that trigger long enough you eventually stop hearing the whistle sound and pressure begins to build until you explode.

If you are unaware of your triggers you need to become aware of them, and it’s easier than you think.  All you have to do is start controlling your emotions and stop letting them control you.

How do you do that???  Easy, when you start to fell upset, mad, sad, depressed, angry etc. Remove yourself from that situation, blow off a little steam and RECOGNIZE that the feeling you were having was a TRIGGER that’s sole purpose is to let you know that what you were doing didn’t FEEL good and that you CAN STOP yourself from being in that situation.

Yes I know it is easier said than done, practice might not make you perfect but it might keep you from killing yourself and leaving your children to deal with the bastard who pushed to the point of ending your life! FUCKING PEOPLE! See, emotion is a trigger, I felt angry when I heard the news, removed myself from the situation, vented some steam and now feel better.

Who ever said “oh no, you have to be happy ALL the time and not let things rattle you ever, ever, ever”  will eventually die from cancer or a heart attack or simply end it themselves.  You are at least 70% water, and water always finds its own level.  So go ahead, hold it all in, stuff it WAYYY down there and prove me wrong.
